GARR Certification & Recertification Requirements & Process

First, we want to thank you for being a member or future member of The Georgia Association of Recovery Residences (GARR). Our members are very important to us and we want you to know how much we appreciate you.

Below you will find a button to download the documentation to complete the process. Even if you have filled them out in the past, please resubmit so we can have the most up to date information and documents. When completed please submit via email to Admin@thegarrnetwork.org

We are also requiring the following:

  • All full time staff must be CPR / First Aid Certified - Certification can be acquired online at Redcross Online Training

  • All staff must be Narcan Trained - Here is a Youtube Video of Training

  • We would suggest incorporating this Narcan video training into your intake process so all residents are trained as well

  • Narcan must be provided in accessible and well signed storage space in office & living spaces.

  • Please submit your policies & procedures in electronic form to: Admin@thegarrnetwork.org

  • Bulletin board must have these items posted in neat and orderly display:

    • List of staff and staff phone numbers

    • Emergency Numbers and Contacts

    • Program schedule

    • Grievance policy - Explaining who & how to submit a grievance through the chain of staff. Include GARR phone number within the Chain

    • Program/House Rules

    • Community Resources

  • 12 Hour PER YEAR of GARR CE’s must be completed

  • It is recommended to attend at least 1 Recovery Residence Zoom Workshop prior to recertification - Click Here For Next Recovery Residence Workshop

  • Outcomes from previous year must be submitted. Submit Outcomes Here
