THE PROGRAM

The WISE Place is a recovery residence where the foils of addictive behaviors are addressed with recovery disciplines to bring about positive changes without the use of alcohol/drugs. The WISE Place uses a solution-based approach to life problems in areas of work, school, and family as well as influencing interpersonal relationships through positive peer support inside and outside of the residence.

It is the desire of The WISE Place to provide a safe, solution-driven environment for women and men to identify and remediate toxic thinking and behavior patterns to bring them to a point in their lives where they are no longer a threat to themselves or society. In that process, it is recommended that family members take on their own responsibility to set forth on a journey of discovery for themselves about which they can assist their loved one by addressing enabling behaviors that could increase the likelihood of relapse while he/she is involved with The WISE Place program.

We are not a “respite” program!! We are a program that encourages women/men to take action against their disease with a structured schedule, whereby they regain a sense of usefulness to themselves and others, develops new skills to address either current or unforeseen life events without the use of chemicals, and finds a deeper meaning for their life.
